Video Text
“Just sitting and talking as we traveled throughout the country we met students whose parents were part of the north Vietnamese army, along with Vietcong as well as students from the south... they are friends. There are no issues between them. The one thing that amazed me more than anything is how the Vietnamese have put the war behind them. Where here in the US, we are not so successful yet. There is still, as the last presidential election shows, there are still very contentious issues about Vietnam. The Vietnamese people have put things behind them. That was one thing that amazed and pleased me here they are and here was where the war was fought, they've put it behind them and moved on.”
