Search Committee

The Chancellor Search Committee consists of four members. The committee will help identify potential candidates, assist with initial screenings, and report its recommendations to the Board of Regents.
Working in conjunction with a search consultant, all candidate recommendations will be forwarded to the entire board, who will make the final decision of selecting the fourth chancellor of the Texas Tech University System.
To fulfill this charge, all members of the Chancellor Search Committee have signed a Code of Ethics and Confidentiality Agreement that prohibits them from publicly identifying any person who is being considered for the position.

- • Debbie Montford – member, Board of Regents (San Antonio)
- • Nancy Neal – member, Board of Regents (Lubbock)
- • John Walker – member, Board of Regents (Houston)
Committee Charge
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, Mickey Long, chairman of the Board of Regents of the Texas Tech University System, gave a charge to the Chancellor Search Committee at a special called board meeting.
